For centuries people have been controlled by habits that seemed compulsive and beyond their
reach with normal mental control techniques. Those often unwanted habits seemed to control their
life and nothing could be done. Today our understanding of habits and their formation is showing
us ways to reprogram our inner mind just like a computer and change or eliminate those bad
habits permanently.
Now we know much more about the mind and how habits are learned. We know that the habit
often began many years ago, most of the time as a child, when our knowledge of our ability to
